An informal communication has it that the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) has a new head in Maj Gen James Birungi.

He replaces Maj. Gen. Abel Kandiho, whom reports say, has been sent to South Sudan as an attache.

The changes comes days after Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame over Uganda-Rwanda relations.

Rwanda has for long accused CMI under Kandiho of arresting & torturing its citizens.
