Marriage is not a bed of roses, says Flavia Tumusiime Kabuura

Media personality Flavia Tumusiime Kabuura has said that all is not gold in marriage.
The former Capital FM’s AM-PM show host said that before getting into marriage, she asked “God that when He sends me a partner, it should be a friend of mine.”
“Andrew Kabuura and I were friends for a long time. We first became friends during a job that we had to do together, until we started dating,” she said on NTV Uganda’s Mwasuze Mutya program with Faridah Nakazibwe on Friday morning.
According to Flavia, the only marriage advice that she ever received that makes sense to her is “life is what you make it” because everyone else will advise you depending on their perspective and “not yours.”
I am not saying that marriage has been a bed of roses, she added.
“At the end of the day, my husband and I are only accountable to each other. The only reason our marriage stands today is because of us and not anybody else. It’s easier when you remove other people,” she said.
