The homicide squad of detectives of Omoro CPS is closely investigating a distressing incident of suspected murder by arson of two female juvenile students of Lux Senior Secondary School at Labora Subcounty in Omoro District.
Preliminary information registered at the police indicates that, on 17/4/2035 and 18/4/2025 at an unknown time while at Lux Primary and Secondary School in Labora subcounty in Omoro District, unknown suspected criminal persons allegedly gained access to the school hostel in the girls section and executed criminal acts of murder by arson on two juvenile female students (names withheld).
Regional Police Spokesman David Ongom-Mudong confirmed the incident.
According to Ongom, “So far we have three suspects in custody, including the school deputy director, and others still at large to aid in investigations.”
“Much as this disturbing incident is regrettable, we urge the bereaved families, without jeopardizing investigations, to remain calm as we investigate this matter to its logical conclusion for justice to prevail. As I conclude, I would like to urge the people trying to abuse cyberspace through various social media platforms to incite others to desist from the vice, as it is not only likely to jeopardize investigations but also may propagate other unnecessary incitements, including but not limited to tribal violence in nature,” said Mudong.
