Alien Skin

Singer Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulwana, has announced that he has joined the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM). The artist performed at President Museveni’s nomination event at Kololo Independence Grounds on Tuesday evening.

The announcement comes just hours after police linked him to the murder of Wilfred Namuwaya, popularly known as Top Dancer—a former member of Alien Skin’s Fangone Forest group—who died on September 22 at Mulago Hospital following a violent assault.

Alien Skin (in black overall) at Kololo on Tuesday. This was after Police declared him a wanted man over murder of his ex-gang member.

According to preliminary police findings, Namuwaya was allegedly picked up from his residence in Ndeeba on September 20, 2025, by an individual identified as Musomali, said to have ties with Fangone Forest. He was reportedly taken to the group’s base, where Mulwana alias Alien Skin allegedly ordered that he be “disciplined” for leaving the gang without permission.

Investigators say Namuwaya was beaten by a group that included individuals identified as Commander Mdogo, Ibra Kabadiya, and Mijagulo. He was later abandoned in Mpomba Zone, where Good Samaritans rushed him to Mulago Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries two days later.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, SSP Patrick Onyango, confirmed the inquiry and said efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects.

“We have opened inquiries into the matter and are actively hunting for Mulwana Patrick, alias Alien Skin, and others suspected to have participated in the assault. The Fangone Forest group has in recent weeks been linked to several attacks on former associates and other individuals, but many victims have feared to report due to threats of harm,” Onyango said.

By press time, Namuwaya’s body was still at Mulago Hospital Mortuary pending a postmortem examination.
