Dr. Ogong is also the Chair of the NSSF Board
MTN Uganda has appointed Dr. David Ogong to its Board of Directors, the company announced Thursday. Dr. Ogong, who also chairs the board of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF), was welcomed by MTN Uganda CEO Sylvia Mulinge.
With more than 15 years of leadership experience across Uganda’s capital markets and communications sectors, Dr. Ogong brings strategic vision and regulatory expertise to MTN’s board. The company said his record of shaping policy and driving institutional growth will support MTN Uganda’s efforts to expand connectivity and advance digital and financial inclusion nationwide.
“We are delighted to welcome Dr. David Ogong to the MTN Uganda Board of Directors,” the company said, noting his insight will be invaluable as MTN continues to connect more Ugandans and deepen its digital services. MTN did not provide details on Dr. Ogong’s specific board committee assignments.
