NWSC’s Eng. Dr. Mugisha has responded to reports of a security probe at the National Water and Sewerage Corporation, saying the utility supports the fight against corruption but rejects what he described as politically driven attacks and social media character assassination.
Speaking at a media roundtable at the corporation’s Resource Centre in Bugolobi, Kampala, Mugisha said: “NWSC strongly supports the fight against corruption, but emphasizes that advocacy must be driven by genuine public interest rather than localized political manipulation or social media character assassination.”
He added: “The management and staff of NWSC spend sleepless nights overcoming severe operational challenges to serve the people of Uganda.”
Mugisha also said: “The corporation welcomes objective, fact-based feedback, but condemns coordinated bad-faith rants that seeks to demoralize the public servants dedicating their lives to national development.”
