The National Animal Genetic Resources Centre & Data Bank (NAGRC&DB) has graduated 80 Artificial Insemination technicians from 20 Uganda Climate Smart Agriculture Transformation Project beneficiary districts after an intensive training programme at Ruhengyere Ranch in Kiruhura District on June 19, 2026.
The technicians received practical training in reproductive physiology, heat detection, semen handling and storage, artificial insemination procedures, breeding records management, animal welfare, and field-based service delivery.
The initiative is part of NAGRC&DB’s broader effort to strengthen AI service delivery, expand access to quality breeding services, and improve livestock productivity across Uganda.
