RIP: Martha Ahumuza
New details have emerged pertaining to the death of 23-year-old Martha Ahumuza. Ahumuza collapsed and died at Mezo Noir last Wednesday. She was buried at the weekend.
However, circumstances leading to her death remained scanty. However, new details suggest that Ahmuza was with a male pal earlier that evening before she headed to Mezo. According to sources quoted by the Wednesday paper of the New Vision, Ahumuza left the friend, promising to return to him after picking her clothes from home.
However, she did not return but proceeded to Mezo Noir, a high-end joint in Lugogo, from where she met her death. CCTV cameras placed Ahumuza at Mezo at 2am with the spot’s manager, Mugabo.
Mugabo has since been arrested, along with three others. The male friend has so far recorded a statement.
Detectives are also looking to find out if Ahumuza was sexually abused before she collapsed and passed on. During her burial, her family pledged to do all it takes to unearth the truth in their daughter’s death.
