Muyomba
Authorities have identified a prime suspect in the killing of rugby star Sydney Gongodyo, who was brutally assaulted by a group of boda-boda riders between Ntinda and Bukoto on Friday afternoon. Gongodyo, who sustained serious injuries during the attack, died in hospital a few hours later.
Video footage of the assault has been circulating on social media, showing a man in a yellow T-shirt striking Gongodyo several times with a heavy log.

The suspect has been identified as Obed Muyombya, believed to be a boda-boda rider operating at a stage opposite Middle East Restaurant, approximately 500 metres from the crime scene. Security agencies have launched a manhunt for Muyombya, whose whereabouts remain unknown.
So far, three people have been arrested in connection with the incident as investigations continue.
