Olara Otunnu
Uganda’s candidate for the UN Secretary job, Olara Otunnu is on his way to the United Nations.
Otunnu missed the Townhall on July 23 due to Ebola related restrictions.
However, he has finally been cleared and is on his way to New York.
According to Uganda’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Adonia Ayebare, said Dr. Olara Otunnu, is heading to New York with former Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda, who is leading the campaign, to meet delegations and engage in interactive dialogue with both the UN General Assembly on August 19 and the UN Security Council on August 20.
The Next SG of the UN will be known to the world by the end of the year.
