St. Lawrence Creamland Campus, Nabbingo, has closed.
The school, among other schools and colleges, was established in 1993 by educationist Prof. Lawrence Mukiibi. However, he died years ago.
Details about the closure remain scanty. The schools’ administration is yet to issue a statement.
However, Prof. Mukiibi’s empire, like many whose founders have died, may have started crumbling.
These businesses often struggle or fail when the owner dies primarily due to a lack of proper succession planning and the owner’s deep integration into the business’s operations, leading to leadership vacuums, loss of key knowledge, and operational disruptions that the business may not recover from.
