The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) has extended working hours for June 2026 holidays and weekends.
According to a notice issued on Monday, the arrangement will operate on a full-day basis on June 9, 2026, and all Saturdays throughout June 2026 to facilitate trade and accelerate the clearance of pending transactions for stakeholders.

URA Commissioner General John Musinguzi Rujoki confirmed the initiative.
He said Customs staff will be fully available to handle all customs clearance tasks for instance, for unentered cargo, exit unverified goods, and goods releases.
Musinguzi added that “bonded warehouse operators are requested to support the arrangement and plan logistics now to maximize operational days.”
He urged Customs clearing agents, and importers to take note of “these dates and actively take advantage of this dedicated window to follow up on and fast-track your pending clearances.”
