Kiyagga’s death prompted an emotional tribute from Eva Zalwango, who described her grief and the loss facing the children and community Kiyagga served.

‘’My heart is bleeding, screaming on top of my voice coz I am helpless. Nassozi it can’t be you, Why you my sister? what are your children going to do without you? How do I tell the deaf children you have left with me, you never taught me the sign for death,’’ said Eva Zalwango.
