For years, socialite Bryan Kirumira—popularly known as Bryan White—has repeatedly evaded police summons by feigning illness, according to police sources. Even in the latest case involving the death of a young woman, Kirumira attempted the same tactic. He got admitted to a hospital from where he was put under guard.
“That is how he operates. Because of how he wants to be seen among his peers, he would rather be handcuffed on his sickbed than he detained at police. That is exactly what he attempted to do this time until investigators got tired,” a source told this publication last night.
But on Friday, November 14, 2025, the strategy that once bought him time failed. Officers escorted him to court while still on a hospital bed, marking the end of what they describe as a long-running pattern of avoidance.
On Thursday, November 13, the Territorial Police at Katwe arraigned four suspects before the Chief Magistrate’s Court in Makindye on charges of human sacrifice and manslaughter. The suspects include Nalunga Daisy, Abaho Daphine, Nakato Naava, and Nambalirwa Joyce.
The charges stem from ongoing investigations into the death of 25-year-old Nalubwama Caroline, who reportedly sustained severe burn injuries at the Munyonyo home of Mr. Kirumira. She was later pronounced dead at Kiruddu National Referral Hospital.
According to police, a fifth suspect—Kirumira himself—remains under guard as he receives treatment for wounds he allegedly sustained during the incident.
