RIP: Kodet
Prominent businessman Kodet Lorika Cornelius, widely regarded as one of Karamoja’s most influential entrepreneurs, has died.
Kodet is reported to have passed away on Monday night at his residence in Entebbe.
The news of his death was confirmed by businessman and politician Captain Mike Mukula, who described Kodet as one of Uganda’s finest business figures.
“The Lord Almighty has recalled one of Uganda’s finest businessmen and Karamoja’s top business icon, Kodet Lorika Cornelius (RIP), last night in his house in Entebbe,” Mukula said.
He added that a funeral service will be held at All Saints Cathedral, Nakasero, on Wednesday, 10th, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
Kodet was celebrated for his strong passion for the hospitality industry. He invested heavily in tourism infrastructure, including beaches in Entebbe and several hotels across the country, making him a key player in Uganda’s tourism and hospitality sector.
More details about burial arrangements are expected to be released by the family.
