RIP: Odelle
On March 17, 2025, Police in Kiira Division conducted intelligence-led operations, starting at 8:00 pm, targeting areas in Namugongo Jjanda, Kapeera, and Kira taxi park ghetto. The goal was to crack down on criminal activity in these known hideouts and gathering places. A joint team of army and police personnel, both covert and overt, carried out the operations, resulting in the arrest of 44 suspects. According to Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) Spokesman, the suspects were taken to Kira Division Police and charged with possession of narcotic drugs, specifically opium, pending further screening. Opium exhibits were also recovered from the suspects and handed over to the station for further management.
The arrests follow the latest murder in the area.
Borris Odelle was killed by unknown people on Sunday night. The incident happened as Odelle returned to his home in Namugongo along Tabamule Road
He was an old boy of St. Joseph’s Naggalama (cohort 2013 – 2018).
