This is a quote attributed to National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission Chairman, Tanga Odoi ”President Museveni is here today, tomorrow and in 2026- period” and this was days ago as the ruling party met Kayunga NRM leaders.

However, this statement may have not gone down well with proponents of the UPDF Commander, Land Forces – Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s presidential bid.

In one of those ‘sinister’ tweets hours after Odoi’s remark, Duncan Abigaba, an admirer of the 3-star general tweets:

Abigaba is the Deputy Director, Government Citizen Interaction Centre (GCIC), an agency under the State House.

His tweet incites David Kabanda, the Member of Parliament for Kasambya County into making a statement.

Twitter-savvy as he is, Kabanda quotes Abigaba’s tweet and says:

2026 is at least 4 years away but the journey to the ballot may have started, for some political camps.
