The LCIII Chairman of Kotido Sub County is dead.

The deceased has been identified as Lokaino Mario Lotyang.

A statement by police says Lotyang was shot at 8 p.m. by suspected Jie armed warriors on Saturday night. Lotyang was a resident of Kethimer village, Lokitaleabu South Parish,  Lokitaleabu Town Council. He was shot at the treading center.

“A joint force of ASTU and UPDF responded with APC only to find the criminals had fled the scene,” reads part of the statement.

By press time, the body was taken to Kotido HCIV for a postmortem.

“Meanwhile joint intel teams of UDF, police, and ISO are on ground to find more facts about the criminals behind this gruesome murder,” adds the statement.
