Hours ago, a smear campaigned on social media followed the way of Robert Atuhairwe. Atuhairwe is the Resident District Commissioner of Bushenyi. Proponents of the agenda allege that Atuhairwe eyes a schoolgirl in a local school in the area and that on this particular day, Atuhairwe paid a visit to the said school and showered the teenage girl with lavish gifts. So many narratives have since followed. 

However, this publication has since realized that the whole plot is aimed at damaging Atuhairwe the RDC in favor of the namesake.

Details

In 2022, President Yoweri Museveni appointed a set of new Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) and the deputies. 

However, on the list were two Robert Atuhairwes. One is a journalist by profession and was posted to Rwampara. The other is a local politician in Kitagwenda. He lost the MP seat in 2021. 

The two Atuhairwes would find themselves on the same RDC list. 

Somehow, however, it became a thing of who remains on the list. 

Eventually, only Atuhairwe, the journalist, remained on the list. 

However, this did not go down well with the other Atuhairwe. Thus the fights, with the latest being the social media campaigns. First, it were texts with Atuhairwe’s photo. Hours later, there was a photo of a young girl, rememberedly the said schoolgirl. However, it turns out the photo is of a South African young woman. 

Rumor has it that Atuhairwe has been suspended. We could not independently verify the suspension claim. However, it is very likely that Atuhairwe could get fired over a girl he knows nothing about.
