Two prisoners have this morning died following an accident near Katovu in Lyantonde district.

The deceased have been identified as John Kaggwa and Willy Isheme alias Regan.

Their bodies are at Lyantonde Hospital mortuary for a postmortem.

Prisons authorities say the Officer in charge Kabula did not adhere to the January 2017 Administrative Instruction by the Commissioner General of Prisons regarding transportation of prisoners.
