The police are investigating circumstance under which a student of Kyambogo learning centre in Katungu mothers’ union died mysteriously.

The deceased has been identified as Shallon Nsimenta, 21.

According to police, the incident happened on Monday 07.02.2022 at about 4pm in Ekitookye where she had just rented a room.

The deceased was the daughter of Lauben Agaba, a resident of Nyakashozwa village, Kabingo parish in Kyamuhunga Sub-County in Bushenyi district.

“The deceased had just reported to school and was accompanied by her father. However, the father had just left for home only to be informed by the girl who had rented the room with Nsimenta, that the daughter’s condition had worsened. By the time Agaba returned to the room, she was dead,” Nsimenta’s roommate told police.

Nsimenta’s body is at KIU Ishaka mortuary for postmortem as investigations to ascertain what could have happened continue.
