Profile: Sandor Walusimbi, Museveni’s new Senior Press Secretary

Corporate Relations & Marketing Consultant, Sandor Walusimbi, has been appointed as President Yoweri Museveni’s Senior Press Secretary. He replaces Linda Nabusayi.
“I take the pleasure to congratulate my brother, Sandor Walusimbi, upon his appointment as the Senior Press Secretary to H. E the President. I have no doubt in your ability to deliver. I also thank my sister, Linda, for her service and wish her wonders in her new posting,” Deputy Press Secretary Faruk Kirunda confirmed the appointment last night.
Until his appointment yesterday, Walusimbi was the Head of Communications at the State House Anti-Corruption Unit.
Previously (2016 to 2019), he worked with power distributor, UMEME, as Head of Marketing and Communications. Before that (2014 t0 2016), Walusimbi worked with Airtel Uganda as Public Relations Manager while between 2009 and 2011, he worked with Diageo (Diageo is a global leader in beverage alcohol with an outstanding collection of brands across spirits and beer) as Corporate Relations Director.
