Mayuge: Bobi Wine supporters hijack hospital pick up, use it to bus supporters to the rally

Supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) party hijacked a pickup truck belonging to the Ministry of Health on Monday and used it to bus fellow supporters to their rallies. The truck is deployed in Mayuge.
NUP Principal Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine was in the Busoga district yesterday, as he continues to traverse the country as part of his party’s activities.
The actions of his supporters have, however, rubbed the government the wrong way.
“After failing to attract numbers in his campaign drives, @HEBobiwine has resorted to using a government vehicle so as to attract security attention and spark off chaos. The person in charge of that M.O.H. vehicle, Reg. No. UG 4679M, should be held accountable,” Faruk Kirunda, the Deputy Press Secretary to President Yoweri Museveni, tweeted Monday.
Last Monday, Bobi Wine’s supporters vandalized a van belonging to the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA). The van was going about its duty in Mbarara when supporters of Bobi Wine attacked the driver on the accusation that he (the driver) had drawn a gun towards their principal. The van was vandalized.
