IUIU halts mandatory pregnancy tests

The Islamic University of Uganda (IUIU) has postponed mandatory pregnancy tests for female students.
The exercise that started days ago was meant to end on September 26, 2023.
However, after the exercise leaked on social media, concerned stakeholders condemned the matter.
In a notice issued on September 22, 2023, the university has postponed the exercise.
“This exercise has been postponed till further notice as we are waiting for supplies. We shall communicate once the supplies are received at the health centre,” reads the notice.
