Two medical workers die in one day while giving birth

Two medical workers have died while giving birth.
The deceased are Sr. Bitali Justine and one Betty.
Sr. Bitali was working at Jinja Referral Hospital when she died of excessive bleeding while giving birth on Tuesday afternoon.
Betty, on the other hand, died later that night.
“Both died prematurely, and their deaths were preventable,” Joselyne Kuteesa, a midwife, said.
Uganda remains one of the countries in sub-Saharan Africa with a very high maternal mortality ratio, estimated at 336 deaths per 100,000 live births.
