Mama D added: “I own a restaurant and a chef by profession. It (Cooking competition) fits well within what I do. It’s an achievement, both for myself and as a profession.”
Mama D is optimistic about bringing the award home.
“I love cooking. I am very passionate about my work. I even speak through food. When i am hungry, you can tell from the meals i make, when i am extremely happy, you can tell. All my moods can be talked within the meals I make. I am bringing this record home. I need the moral support from Ugandans,” she said.
While by Wednesday morning Mama D thinks, she will have won everything, that is there to be won, she intends to carry on with the cooking until Friday, December 29, 2023.
“I intend to carry on until Friday. I am going to make specifically Ugandan meals. I am Ugandan. A girl from Pallisa, and I am trying to sell Ugandan meals. My restaurant makes 80% traditional meals. I intend on cooking a meal from every region of Uganda. Everyone has to feel the love,” said Mama D.
