The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Okoth Ochola has confirmed promoting six police officers for their great representation at the Tokyo Olympic 2020.

The officers are: Joshua Cheptegei (promoted from IP to ASP), Benjamin Njia (from IP to ASP), Immaculate Chemutai (from CPL to AIP), Peruth Chemutai (from SPC to IP), Shida Leni (from CPL to AIP) and Mercyline Chelengat (from AIP to IP).

According to IGP Ochola, the promotion was a resolution of the Police Advisory Committee (PAC) sitting recently.

Ochola urged the promoted officers to use their talents and new ranks to lure the young people away from criminality.
